The tree has doubled in size since Carol Parkhurst began a Wilton tradition in 1999. Carol had been in the Hospital but she was there December 2 in a wheelchair and she lit the tree. This year Steve Porto, Rec Director, had stands set up for the tree-lighting and they were packed with families for the event - and Santa arriving on the Hook 'n Ladder of Maple Ave Fire Company

Meeting Santa is still the big deal - and lines stretched through the Dailey Gym and the corridor to the old gym and outside to the parking lot. Maple Ave Fire Company helped out with fire helmets for the kids in line.
